Track Options

All track programs are conducted at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC.

Slice your way through our custom autocross course with surgical precision in one of our Mustang EcoBoost in this race-against-the-clock event.

Your experience will start with a brief overview and description of the course. Then, accompanied by one of our professional instructors in the passenger seat, you’ll buckle in and take the wheel for a reconnaissance lap. After the instructor exits the car, you’ll have three timed practice laps to get ready for your final flying lap.

This is the best way to get behind the wheel of one of our track-prepped Mustang Dark Horses & drive on the famous Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval when you are crunched for time. We have included the essential components of our Wheelhouse program that has become so popular over the years -- and truncated them into an easy-to-work-with 4-hour session.

You will begin by putting on a driving suit, helmet, and HANS device to ensure your safety throughout the program. Once you are fitted with your gear, we will move on to an essential classroom session where we will discuss what you will be doing and explain the differences between street driving and track driving.

During the driving sessions, you will be connected via our in-helmet communication system with one of our professional instructor staff. The instructor in the lead car will provide real-time coaching through in-car radios as you navigate every corner, chicane, and straightaway, helping you achieve maximum speed and lap times.

You will have the opportunity to drive a Mustang Dark Horse around the track for two 20-minute sessions, allowing you to progressively increase your speed in a safe, controlled environment. Finally, to top off the experience and satisfy your craving for speed and adrenaline, you will have the chance to ride in the passenger seat with one of our professional drivers for a thrilling demo lap. This will showcase how much you’ve learned and how much further you can go!

This experience is designed for true track enthusiasts—a full day at the track in one of our track-prepped Mustang Dark Horse vehicles, aimed at elevating your driving skills. This class has contributed to the immense popularity of our Wheelhouse program.

You will begin the program by putting on a driving suit, helmet, and HANS device to ensure your safety throughout the experience. Once fitted with your gear, we will proceed to an important classroom session to discuss the activities you will be participating in and explain the differences between street and track driving.

After leaving the classroom, the real fun begins! We will start with essential exercises to improve your cornering, car control, and braking skills. Navigating the correct line through a corner is crucial for maintaining maximum speed and achieving faster lap times . Our cornering exercise will teach you various lines and help you retain speed from entry to exit.

Next, the car control exercise will challenge your ability to keep the vehicle on track when you encounter oversteer and understeer scenarios. Our unique skid car can simulate these conditions instantly, allowing you to practice vehicle recovery techniques at a manageable speed.

You will follow our instructors using our in-helmet communication system, which enables the instructor in the lead car to coach you in real-time via in-car radios as you navigate every corner, chicane, and straightaway. This guidance will help you achieve maximum speed and your best lap times.

You will drive your Wheelhouse Dark Horse around the track for three 20-minute sessions, progressively increasing your speed each time. Finally, to satisfy your craving for speed and adrenaline, at the end of the day, you will have the chance to ride in the passenger seat with one of our professional drivers for an exhilarating demo lap!

Wheelhouse offers two ride-along experiences that let riders feel what it's like to be in a car pushed to its limits on the track. During both experiences, you will ride shotgun in one of our track-prepped Mustang Dark Horses, accompanied by a professional driver who will navigate the track at full speed.

Wheelhouse Hot Laps

If you’re curious about performance driving or want to feel the excitement of racing on a track, this is your opportunity. Take a seat in the passenger side of our specially prepared Mustang Dark Horse, driven by one of our professional drivers. You’ll experience an adrenaline rush as they push the car to its limits on the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. During this experience, you will enjoy two high-speed laps around the track.

Sim (simulated) Race

Have you ever watched a race and wondered how drivers manage to race so close to each other at incredible speeds? Now, you have the chance to experience that thrill yourself! Ride in the passenger seat alongside one of our experienced professional drivers as they skillfully navigate the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. Feel the excitement of being just inches away from your competitors, all while reaching race speeds in a track-prepped Mustang Dark Horse. Our drivers will simulate the final two laps of a race, bringing you right to the finish line!

Off-Road Options

All off-road programs are conducted at the Wheelhouse Off-Road Facility in Tooele, UT.

Are you new to off-roading or looking to improve your skills? The Wheelhouse Off-Road Half-Day Experience is the ideal way to learn the proper techniques for tackling all types of terrain within a condensed timeframe. This half-day driving experience incorporates elements from our full-day class, providing an abbreviated schedule that covers essential lessons. These lessons will serve as the foundation for our full-day event.

Your experience will start with a brief overview and description of the course. After this briefing, you will board one of our trail-ready trucks for a short drive to the Wheelhouse Off-Road Facility.

Once at the off-road facility, your group will participate in a Slalom course to get accustomed to off-road driving. After the entire group has completed this activity, they will split into two smaller groups for the Baja course and Sand Drag or Jump activities. Each group will go through their respective driving exercises before reconvening for an exhilarating right-seat demo lap with one of our professional off-road instructors.

The Full-Day Off-Road Driving Experience is designed for drivers of all skill levels. Whether you are a beginner looking to explore off-road driving for the first time or an experienced off-roader aiming to refine your skills, this program offers something for everyone. Participants will have the chance to learn a variety of off-road driving techniques, including slow mobility, technical trail climbing, and performance off-road driving.

The program day begins with a classroom session focused on proper techniques for slow mobility and off-road driving performance. This session includes a review of drivetrain components and their application on different terrains. Afterward, you’ll load up and head out to the Wheelhouse Off-Road Facility to practice these techniques through various exercises on our meticulously prepared off-road courses. Your group will also have the opportunity to drive on public desert trails and technical trails that require slow mobility driving, all under the guidance of our professional off-road instructors.

The day includes a midday lunch break including a scenic group photo opportunity along the mountain trail, offering breathtaking views of the Tooele Valley and Utah’s rugged landscape. Once back at the Wheelhouse Off-Road Facility, you will learn the proper technique for jumping a full-size off-road vehicle, followed by more performance off-road driving. The experience concludes with an exhilarating right-seat demo lap with one of our professional off-road instructors. By the end of the program, you will have enhanced your off-road driving skills and created unforgettable memories!

This event transcends a typical joyride in the shotgun seat. Our team of professional drivers will navigate the Baja course at full speed.
